2025 Book Club Picks
Going into year four of the book club with a community of dedicated, and long-term members, I decided to choose books that reflected the intersection of genres that are enjoyable to us as a whole. Horror, romance, literary fiction and memoir all play larger roles this year, and I have included one novella and one self-published novel. Two of these books were recommended by members who either loved or desperately wanted to read them.

This year, I chose books that happened to skew in the more literary fiction realm, along with a smattering of romance and fantasy. With our members enjoying the addition of nonfiction books, we have continued including two of those titles, along with one self-published book and one collection of short stories. Members have already shared their excitement for these titles, as many have been on our TBR or our most anticipated release lists.

2023 Book Club Picks
This year, we chose to add nonfiction titles to our selection and included more critically acclaimed young adult novels. Members also recommended books that were featured this year, including We Deserve Monuments and Zami, Another Spelling of My Name. Our overall favorite reads were Where Echoes Die, Girls Can Kiss Now and Gideon the Ninth, the latter sparking a spin-off channel for members who wanted to buddy read the remainder of the series.

2022 Book Club Picks
This year, my focus was to include more poly, queer and feminist representation in our book picks, which resulted in the tagline rebrand in 2023 to recognize those themes. I also chose two self-published titles and a handful of Aliya's personal favorites. Rainbow Tier members also contributed to the list, voting on The Midnight Girls, Hani & Ishu's Guide to Fake Dating, and The Honeys. Our favorite reads were Last Night at the Telegraph Club and The Honeys.

2021 Book Club Picks
For the inaugural year of the book club, I wanted to include a wide variety of books to get a sense of what the community gravitated towards, along with books that have been on my TBR shelf. Our titles included three self-published books and a large swath of young adult. Rainbow Tier members also contributed to the list, choosing The Stars and the Blackness Between Them and There's Magic Between Us. Our overall favorite reads of the year were One Last Stop and Ace of Spades.
